For less than $10 you can buy a pool pass or a pool/putt-putt pass and spend a few hours at the Water Park. There's a main pool with fun zones and slides, a children's splash pool, and plenty of seating if you want to get some sun or read a book in the shade. The food at the snack bar is decent (by kids standards) and prices are reasonable(by parents standards). It does get crowded, and in the morning the summer camps are there, so you may want to go later in the day.
We arrived around 2pm; the summer camps were just leaving but there were still lots of people. I thought my bunch of 10 year old girls would grow tired of the place after an hour or two but they managed to keep themselves occupied with the slides and the fun zones for several hours. Sitting on a chaise lounge in the shade with my book, I got a few chuckles watching the kids repeatedly trying to climb on the back of a small floating crocodile only to flip or slide right off again. Oh, the simple things that make life fun! After swimming and a couple trips to the snack bar, we opted for the putt-putt course, which was lots of fun (even though I had to pluck a few balls out of the water hazards).
Kid's View: "We had a good time. The slides were fun, but one of them your head gets pulls back from all the suction and it hurt. Climbing up on the floating animals was fun too because so many of us were trying to get on while it was moving and we kept sliding off. I liked putt-putt too, but there was one hole where I hit my ball in the water like 9 times!"http://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/poi/default.asp?POI_ID=5&TOC=1;5;
The place looks amazing! What’s more incredible is that the ticket is very affordable. Now almost everyone in the vicinity could lounge in this wonderful waterpark on hot afternoons. I’m sure you had a superb time spending those warm summer days here. Cheers!
